Her diverse practice areas include business law, collections, entertainment and fashion law, trademark law, and estate planning. She has successfully litigated cases for large financial institutions, drafted numerous contracts and agreements, and serves as outsourced general counsel to local businesses, offering strategic guidance as a trusted advisor, business consultant, and advocate. Jeanilou is particularly passionate about empowering female entrepreneurs and professionals in the entertainment, beauty, fashion, and wellness industries, using a holistic approach to address their legal and business needs.

Champion for Social Justice & Non-Profit Leadership

Jeanilou’s dedication to social justice and gender equity has been a driving force throughout her career. She began her legal journey in the non-profit sector, working to expand access to justice for underrepresented communities.

At the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii, she served as Pro Bono Project Manager, increasing attorney involvement in pro bono work and fundraising while overseeing Continuing Legal Education accreditation in Hawaii and California. Later, as Director of Finance and Operations at Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii, she led fundraising, financial management, and HR initiatives, while supporting legislative reform efforts.

Her impact extended to higher education, where she played a pivotal role in establishing the Office of Institutional Equity at the University of Hawaii. There, she coordinated system-wide Title IX training, organized certification programs on gender-based discrimination and assault, and supported the Act 222 Legislative Task Force. Today, she continues to bridge businesses with charitable causes, fostering partnerships that create lasting social impact.

A pioneer of virtual law practice, Jeanilou has been at the forefront of remote legal services, AI-driven business strategies, and metaverse law. Community Leadership & Professional Affiliations

Jeanilou remains deeply engaged in her community, volunteering for various organizations and initiatives. She currently serves as a Volunteer Arbitrator for the Hawaii Judiciary’s Court Annexed Arbitration Program (CAAP) and as Vice President of the Hawaii Filipino Lawyers Association. Additionally, she serves on the iBoard of Governors for the Northwest Region of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association (NFALA) and is an active member of NAPABA, the Hawaii Business Law Section, and the California Lawyers Association. In recognition of her professional excellence and community contributions, Jeanilou was recently honored as the 2025 Women Owned Business Champion for Honolulu County from the Small Business Administration (SBA).
