With my small business, I've worked with many lawyers over the years and always had a bad experience (i.e. they billed me 5x the initial quote without any warning during the process, they gave me incorrect advice so that I would pay for something unnecessary, etc.) Finally, I was referred to Jeanilou, and although I only met with her for a consultation, I could tell she cares about small businesses and what is best for the client. After spending hours reviewing our documents and speaking with us, she ended up advising us not to move forward with our case. She didn't take a retainer and there was no hidden bill. She also did not make me feel stupid for past mistakes or for not understanding something and rather took the time to listen to my concerns and then kindly explain the best solution.

The only downside is that I wish I had found her sooner! Highly recommend!

I'm starting up a record label and Jeanilou helped customize and tighten up the contracts I'll be using with my artists. She did an amazing job translating my requests about contract requirements and my non-standard business ideas to the page.
